Plainview, NY (June 16, 2010) – Representatives from the Long Island Rough Riders, along with team mascot ‘Teddy’ visited Gribbin Elementary School (Glen Cove, NY) on Wednesday June 9th.

Rough Riders players organized ‘World Cup’ games for the Gribbin School students.  Teddy, the team’s mascot, was on hand to sign autographs and take pictures. 

“I will be making many appearances within the upcoming months,” said Rough Riders Mascot Teddy.  “It is always a great thrill for me to see the joy on children’s faces when I am at Rough Rider home games and events.”

The Rough Riders previously visited the school on Friday June 4th for its annual Field Day.  Rough Rider players help school staff organize fun games for students from kindergarten through third grade.
