JUNIOR ROUGH RIDERS ACADEMY

The Rough Riders Academy Program is based upon the European Academy model of cultivating the complete soccer player. This model provides players with the ability to develop and train together throughout the year, and offers its players the opportunity to compete against the best competition available. The Rough Riders Academy is where players dedicate themselves to one club - the Long Island Rough Riders.

One of the benefits of the Rough Riders Academy Program is that it focuses on developing the player and the entire team for college admission and NCAA play including showcases and counseling.

Con una vibrante jornada final se baja el telón de la Open State Cup (Copa del Estado), el torneo más importante del calendario del fútbol infantil local, que reune a decenas de equipos de todo el Estado de New York.

Tras varios meses de exigente competencia, este fin de semana, en el Stringham Park de LaGrange (al norte de la ciudad de New York) se definen los títulos en las categorías de 11 a 18 años.

Boys U13 Go Academy with Rough Riders

The Rough Riders Academy boys under-13 team was established in 2007. The Rough Riders Academy team plays in a national league called the Super Y-League of the United Soccer Leagues (USL). Additionally the Academy team participates locally in the Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League (CJSL), along with the Eastern New York Premier League and in MAPS (Mid-Atlantic Premier Soccer).

Leading the Rough Riders Academy Team is Declan McSheffrey, former head coach of the Long Island Rough Riders Women’s W-League Team and former professional player for the Long Island Rough Riders. McSheffrey is also the Director of Coaching for the Syosset Soccer Club. He has previously coached for the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) and LIJSL.
