ROUGH RIDERS DEVELOPMENTAL The Rough Riders Developmental Program is dedicated to identifying and properly developing players that represent the talent associated with Long Island soccer. Individuals who are chosen for the Junior Rough Riders Developmental Program become part of an elite player community called the Junior Rough Riders. This community represents the best youth players on Long Island. While providing professional instruction by incorporating challenging regional tournament competition, the Rough Riders Developmental Program prepares players with the technical, tactical, physical and psychological elements to compete at the highest level of American soccer. The U-11 Girls Developmental Team, coached by Lauren Bishar, entered U12 tournaments on March 2 and March 8 at Soccer Palace and Soccer Coliseum and took first place at both tournaments. The girls have been practicing hard all winter and their dedication was evident at both tournaments with great ball movement, strong defense, excellent keeper play and strong runs into space without the ball. |
