With two victories over the weekend, the Long Island Rough Riders Girls Under 15 team has qualified for the USL’s Super-Y League Nationals to held in Tampa, Florida in November.
Through the team’s first ten games, they’ve yet to lose and only surrendered two goals while finding the back of opponent’s nets 45 times. With three games remaining in the season, the Rough Riders are tied for first place with Quickstrike FC. The top three teams in the U15 Girls Mid-Atlantic Division qualify for Nationals.
"It’s a tremendous accomplishment making it to Nationals," said Rough Riders Technical Director Shaun Higgins. "I’m looking forward to seeing how they represent our region and the Rough Riders down in Tampa this November."
