Unbeaten Boys Under 14 On Cusp of Nationals

The crowd at the top of USL Super-Y League’s Boys U14 Mid Atlantic Division is crowded, but one of the teams on the brink of qualifying for Nationals this coming November in Tampa, Florida is part of the Rough Riders organization.

Currently undefeated with an 8-0-5 record, the Rough Riders BU14 team sits tied in fourth place with three games remaining. The top five teams in the division will qualify for Nationals. Two of the Rough Riders four remaining games will be against Ironbound SC and Quickstrike FC who both are atop the division at the moment. With just one more win or a loss by Princeton Soccer, the Rough Riders will be one of the five Mid Atlantic Division teams heading to Nationals this Fall.

"Playing in the Super-Y League gives our kids tremendous exposure and the chance to play against other high-level competition," said Rough Riders Technical Director Shaun Higgins. "Seeing a team develop throughout the year and his this kind of success if very rewarding for the coaching staff as well as the kids."
