Adding to the list of Junior Rough Riders teams that have qualified for the USL Super-Y League North American Finals, the Boys Under 13's won their final game of the season 3-0 and will participate in the tournament this November in Tampa, Florida.
"It was a testament to their desire to win and ability to play as a team," said head coach Giovanni DiStefano. "The core of this team has been playing together for the past four years and has had to overcome some obstacles along the way to remain united. Although the team consists of players from over nine different clubs, they still managed to produce cohesive soccer and sustain great team chemistry."
After a slow start to the season, the boys went 7-1-1 in their final nine games to finish 9-4-1 and fifth in the Mid-Atlantic Division of the BU13 league. They will join the Boys Under 14 and Girls Under 15 as Junior Rough Riders teams who have qualified for Nationals so far.
