Several Junior Rough Riders teams have been invited to attend ‘Long Island Rough Riders Day’ at the Sky Blue FC match on Sunday August 1st.

The Long Island Rough Riders have opened tryout registration for Junior Rough Riders teams U-8 through U-17.  Registration is also open for the Fall Pre-Developmental program ages U-6 and U-7.

The Long Island Rough Riders Super Y-League teams are at crucial points in their seasons, with only a few regular season games remaining as they battle for national championship berths.

The Rough Riders Director of Coaching has selected 18 Junior Rough Riders from the ages of 12 to 14 years of age to attend the West Ham National Player Identification Camp in Northern Virginia in July.

Former Junior Rough Rider, Dominick Sarle, speaks of his recent selection to the US National U20 team in the build up to the U20 2011 FIFA World Cup to be held in Columbia in 2011.

Sarle, Huntington, NY, who starred for the Junior Rough Riders in 2005 and 2006, is considered one of US’s best soccer prospects with the forward featuring in the 2009 FIFA U17 World Cup in Nigeria playing against Spain, Italy and the United Arab Emirates.
