Rough Riders Tournaments
Thank you very much for a nice tournament. Our boys had a great time. The field, refs and other helpers did a great job. We look forward to other tournaments or events at your Cunningham Soccer location. We look forward to playing Rough Riders teams during the seasons ahead. Anonymous
Just wanted to give some good feed back from the tournament For your first tournament it was run very well. Schedule kept moving, everything flowed excellent and the facility is great (a little cold in the morning) but we survived. No all kidding aside I had positive feedback from all the parents the girls had a great time You guys did a great job Thank you. Jeannine Kirshbaum (West Islip Shooting Stars)
Just wanted to pass along our congratulations on a very well run and well organized tournament. We did not have to wait to get in, the fields were in great condition and the game started on or close to schedule. There was clearly a more visible presence of tournament staff to assist on the sidelines. You really did a great job with the planning and execution. I also wanted to forward to you what a wonderful referee we had on field number 5. Not only did he get the calls right for a U-8 game but he was also very kind and caring and spoke very nicely to the children. I have never heard a referee demonstrate such understanding and compassion for an upset child. I think his name was Eddie. Craig Snyder Jericho Dragons
Thanks for the quick reply, you run a great tournament and are very good at taking the feedback to make an even better event in the future. Thanks again for your efforts, I think you do a great job. Neil A. Bloom
Thanks a lot for all the work. The kids had a blast despite not winning the tournament. Jef Rotblut, HLSC
I just wanted to thank you again for a well run tournament. My guys had a great time. Brendan
I wanted to reach out to tell you how much we enjoyed the tournament. We thought it was professional, well run and thoroughly enjoyable. My team ended up in 4th place in the U-7 Boys division. Given the talent level of the teams we faced, we are pleased with our showing. Frank Lawless, West Hempstead Chiefs
My name is Anthony Trentacosta and I coached the HBC Spurs in the U9 Major division. I want to thank you for a well run tournament, our boys had a very good time. Anthony Trentacosta, HBC Spurs
Thank you very much -- As always it was a wonderfully run and organized tournament. The referees were on the money and explained everything very well to the boys. Pam Hughes
Rough Riders Soccer Camps
I just wanted to share with you how much my son Connor enjoyed this week’s camp at Suffolk CC in Brentwood. He typically attends a few camps each summer and this week he came home each day talking about what he was learning and how much he liked the coaches. I was very happy to hear that this camp provided the two most important components I wanted for him, intense instruction and a fun atomosphere. Thanks, Jerry Owenburg
I wanted to let you know that my son Andrew enjoyed his camp experience this week. He spoke very highly of his coach and looked forward to training and playing each day. He liked his evaluation and promised to work harder to become a better player. All that and he now wants to eat Quiznos. Thanks again for all your help. Maurice Martorella
We all should be thanking you! I was very impressed with the camp and the way it was run. You, Paul and my son’s coach Tobi should be very proud of yourselves! I’m sure you’ll see Clay Pine again next year. Anonymous
The coaches were great-and were very keen on my daughter who was lacking in ball skills not to demean her and were able to see her frustration and embarassment, yet built her up with a few verbal complements and some one on one time, turned a girl at risk, around to re-connect with athletics! Thank you! Dana
I’ll let you know what I think about the camp in one word EXCELLENT!!! The best instruction and instructors!! Jerry
Rough Riders Community Events
Thank you both so much for helping us, you didn’t have to, each of you went way out of your way to help. Which come to think of it, isn’t surprising, it’s consistent with all my experience with my son Christopher when he was on the team. The LI Rough Riders are truly and first class organization. Dan
On behalf of the Plainedge High School Chapter of the National Honor Society, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude for offering a raffle for our Breat Cancer Carnival on May 2, 2008. The carnival was, by far, a huge success; hundreds of community member attended the event. With your generosity we were able to raise over $5,000 to help Cure Mommy’s Breast Cancer. To quote the Cure Mommy’s Breast Cancer Foundation, to which we donated our funds: "thank you for helping us, help others." Our carnival would no have been as successful without your help. The Rough Riders Gift Basket was a wonderful and very generous addition to our raffle table. Thank you again for your support in making our event so successful. Melissa Collins / NHS Advisor
Rough Riders Birthday Parties
It’s not often that I have cause to write a thank you letter like this, but I would be remiss if I didn’t bring this to your attention. Jessica Mazurkiewicz helped my wife plan (and pull off) the “perfect 11 year old birthday party” for my son and 21 of his friends!! We brought our group to the home game on Saturday and it couldn’t have been better. Jessica arranged for us to be met at the gate by Vince (another huge help and extremely accommodating) and between Jessica’s arrangements / coordinations and Vince helping to carry them out, everything went off without a hitch. All the boys were thrilled to get tee shirts and have them autographed by the players… and my son really got a treat in getting a Rough Riders jersey and practice ball – and having the opportunity to get them autographed on the field while taking pictures w/ the players. Thanks again to your wonderful staff – kudos to Jessica and Vince. Lloyd Fenton
